Our Longarms
Our longarm department offers four quilting pathways to best meet your needs.
Longarm Quilting
What does your quilting journey look like? With four paths available, we will help determine what is best for you!
1. Chestnut Ridge Sewing Finishes Your Quilt Top
Bring us your quilt top, and we'll take care of the rest!
- Review the Guidelines for Preparing Your Quilt Top
- Simply make a visit to CRS and bring in your quilt top
- Together, we will meaure your quilt, and you'll pick your design and thread color
- Leave the rest to us, and we will call you when it’s ready
- Batting to be purchased at CRS
- Binding available upon request
Our current lead time is 2-3 weeks or less, and the current rate is $.025 p/sq inch or $50 minimum.
2. NEW! Quilt Along with CRS
Work alongside our longarm ladies and finish your quilt top together! This pathway allows you to learn at your own pace while you hang out in the shop. You can also turn your quilt along journey into the training program at anytime to rent our longarms.
- Spend part of the day with us and join in as we finish your quilt top together
- We are right by your side, so you can engage in as much or as little of the process without the pressure of being on your own
- Simply choose your day, and bring in your quilt top
- Join the entire quilting process: picking out your thread color and design, loading the longarm, setting up the Q-Matic software, quilting your design of choice, advancing the quilt top, and finishing the quilt
The current rate is $.035 p/sq inch or $60 minimum.
3. Be Trained by the CRS Longarm Department
Upon the completion of the Longarm Training Program, you will be able to rent the longarm with confidence and quilt on your own.
- Training is 4-6 sessions based on your progression
- Choose from a morning (9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.) or afternoon session (1:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.)
- Choose your package:
•Bring with you a very simple 36x36 or up to 45x45 quilt top
•CRS will have one ready for you for an additional charge of $30
Training is 4-6 sessions based on your progression. The cost is $75 per session.
4. Rent Our Longarms
You can rent our longarms once you have completed the training program. Call ahead to schedule your rental time. The cost is $25 per hour.
